Heavy winds and rains kept most boats in. Boats that did brave the weather and remained out returned with a good count of nice yellowtail brought in at the 15 fathom spot and a few nice lings off the slide.
Hope weather clears for a better report next week. Our rock cod fishing is always good as usual.

2-5-2009Sorry guys, not much to report. We had only 1 boat out this week. Sam Lunde snuck down from Solano Beach, California and fished one day with Captain Hector on the Paloma. Things are still a little slow. Strong winds came up Sunday but it completely stopped by Wednesday morning when I left for the U.S. There is still a decent yellowtail bite and good rock cod and whitefish bite. Daisy and Adam Ramirez from Santa Barbara got 3 yellowtail (15 to 18 lbs), 6 extra large whitefish and 7 salmon grouper, fishing with Captain Hector on the Paloma.
