1-29-2009
Pete Hills

Things are still a little slow. Strong winds came up Sunday but it completely stopped by Wednesday morning when I left for the U.S. There is still a decent yellowtail bite and good rock cod and whitefish bite. Daisy and Adam Ramirez from Santa Barbara got 3 yellowtail (15 to 18 lbs), 6 extra large whitefish and 7 salmon grouper, fishing with Captain Hector on the Paloma. Tricia McKeon from Wisconsin and Scot Toliver from Alaska fished with Captain Miguel on the Coyote and brought in one nice yellowtail (20 lbs), 2 large lings, 6 reds, and over 30 extra large whitefish.
