Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report

9-20-2008
Bruce A. Smith

High winds dealt us challenging fishing conditions but the Shogun passengers and crew met them head on. We managed to find a few kelps with good fishing. Weeding through small yellowtail and dorado was necessary to connect with a good tuna or mahi. There were plenty of eager fish on the right kelp. The wind hasn't let up all day and we are now on our way to Guadalupe Island, arriving before first light. This evening we were tying fluorocarbon and hooks and setting drags anticipating those bigger tuna. Let's hope they bite well for us again.
