The Cabo San Lucas Fish Report- The Gaviota Sportfishing Fleet and Fish Cabo Fleet
7-10-2008
Larry Edwards
The Fourth of July vacation anglers were finding the fishing rather
slow for this time of year and the weather was being uncooperative,
too. The Port was partially closed for a couple of days which added
frustration to the slow fishing, too. The combined fish reports for
the Gaviota and Fish Cabo Fleets, reporting in for a total of 29 days
fished, reflected 8 stripers, (5 released) 14 dorado and 3 yellowfin
tuna.
Cabo Climate: Some cloudy days and a couple of sun/cloud mixed days, temps from 73 nights to 92 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Big southwest swells early in the week. 70 degrees in close to Cabo and rising to 78 at the Gorda Banks and up to 86 by Las Frailes.
Best Fishing Area: Fish were scattered and no distinct accumulation was noted anywhere.
Best Bait/Lure: Not reported
Live Bait Supply: Good
