34 yellowtail for Amigo fishing Friday (June 20).
Hi Everyone
The Amigo got back in today from a 1 ?? day charter fishing yesterday (Friday June 20) and they had 34 yellowtail (20-36 pounds!), 1 white sea bass, 1 halibut, 100 calico bass, and some other misc fish for only 14 anglers. Pretty good yellowtail fishing at San Clemente Island. Capt Mike T. ran the trip and talking with him this morning indicated that conditions look good with warm water and good volume of yellowtail.
Live squid and iron were used to catch the yellowtail.
The Ultra also had decent yellowtail fishing with 14 yellowtail, 5 halibut, and 45 calico bass for 9 anglers yesterday (fishing Catalina Island).
The Amigo has an open party overnight trip leaving tonight at 9pm fishing Sunday (June 22). Limited to 18 anglers at $170. Currently 1 spot is open as of 12 pm Saturday (June 21).
The Amigo also has an open party overnight leaving Monday (June 23) at 9pm fishing Tuesday (June 24). Limited to 18 anglers @ $170. Currently 9 spots open as of 12pm Saturday.
The Amigo also has their annual open party 2 day trip for July 3 and July 4. Limited to 16 anglers at $375. Capt Mike Thompson will be running this trip. There are still 9 spots open. Lots of options with offshore, islands, and offshore banks. This trip should be a lot of fun.
The Aggressor has an open party trip leaving Sunday night at 10 pm fishing all day Monday (June 23). Limited to 20 anglers at $150. Currently 9 spots open as of 12 pm Saturday (June 21).

Best Regards, Theresa Most of the anglers who beat the heat got out on the lakes early and caught limits. Best bite is before 10am and after 1pm. Power bait ( especially orange, sherbet, salmon peach and rainbow), night crawlers, jigs and lures all produced limits. Hot spots for trout include the eastern logged shore and grassy point......
