Royal Polaris Fishing Report

Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone; Things are looking up. Our morning started out with a good Yellowtail bite. Most of the Yellowtail were in the 25 to 35 pound range, with a few larger ones. We fished the Yellowtail until 11:00, then we made the move for Yellowfin tuna.

The afternoon started out slow, but by 15:00 hours, things started looking up. We had good fish around the boat, and we kept one going until dark. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 80 to 100 pound range, with the largest going 134 pounds.

Lucky angler today was Jim Bailey, with a 134 pound Yellowfin tuna, caught on the kite. Largest bait fish today was caught by Mike Morrison, estimated at 125 pounds.

Weather today was sunny, with 12 to 15 knots of wind. All in all today was a good day. We will make a couple of tanks of bait tonight, so wish us luck.
