Temescal Fishing Report

East Bay Regional Park District

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The weather has been hot (mid 70 + around Temescal). Anglers have been catching catfish left and right. A few are still biting on the power bait dough in (purple); anglers have also been using chicken liver and night crawlers.

TROUT

A few large trout have been caught on the lower west shore. A few, but not very many, caught on the east shore. Kastmaster lures were used in most cases.

BASS

Anglers have been catching bass fairly consistently. The bass have been hanging around the north dock and all along the wee shore trail. One bass reported was caught on a Rebel jointed lure and a host of other lures.

OTHER SPECIES

Bluegill have been getting caught on flys and worms at the middle dock. The largest bluegill reported was approx. 8 inches.
