Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report 04-18-2008

Today started out with quick action on a bird school. The yellows were up and bit well on yo-yo jigs and sardines. These were the same 30# range fish, it was looking to be a great day. The problem is that those fish stayed down the rest of the day. Norman took us to many of his preferred spots up and down the island but the yellowtail refused to show. In the afternoon a dozen nice calicos and a handful of other assorted fish made it into the RSW well but those yellows refused to show. Thats fishing, even legendary spots like Alijos and Cedros have their off days. The Shogun will be in Sunday morning, among all that "Day At The Docks" fiesta.

Norm threw in the towel early, and pointed the Shogun toward Cedros. We'll arrive before first light and scout around for sign of yellowtail....... Read More
