West Walker River Fishing Report
10-16-2016
Jim Reid
The West is still one of the best bets around right now, most reports we’ve been getting are very good, both fly fishing and spin fishing. The water is low and clear so you’ll still need to search out the deeper pools in both the Pickle Meadows area as well as the canyon area. Bait anglers are using salmon eggs and crawlers, lure anglers are going with panther martins, mepps, rooster tails and thomas bouyants. Fly anglers are using small wooly buggers, prince nymphs, hare’s ears and pheasant tails.
