Del Valle Lake Fishing Report
10-5-2016
East Bay Regional Park District
We were pleasantly surprised by some rain on Monday. Water temperature is 70 degrees in the narrows and marina. This week we had cooler mornings and quite a bit of wind in the afternoon but it warms up when the sun comes out. Striped bass are no longer boiling on most mornings. However we are seeing bigger fish hit the surface feeding on shad and inland silver sides. Catfish are still prowling around the weed beds, trees and drop offs. Anchovies seem to be the bait of choice for now. Trout are being planted by the Dam so grab your power bait and jacket and head out there to get em. Any time you catch fish here at the lake please bring them into the marina so we can get your picture and information from you. -Dan
