Temescal Fishing Report

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The weather has been cold in the mornings and warm to hot in the afternoon.

CATFISH

Anglers have started reporting catches of catfish 4 to 5 lbs. The hot spot for catfish has been the North dock. Most catfish have been caught using miscellaneous lures: rooster tails, swim baits, jigs. Anglers have also been using power bait “chartreuse” and wild blood catfish nuggets. Glitter and garlic power bait and shrimp as well.

TROUT

No trout catches reported.

BASS

Anglers and staff have reported seeing an extra-large bass swimming south of the north dock along the lower east shore trail. Nobody has reported catching that individual bass yet.

CATCHES REPORTED

One angler reportedly caught some large bluegill (5-6” long) at the middle dock using light tackle and red worms.
