Very good tuna fishing here again today. Beautiful grade, plenty workable conditions, eager and willing participants – a perfect combination for success; and successful it was. So much so that come day's end, with an ominous weather forecast promising a memorable ass kicking on the ride home were we to stay tomorrow, we opted for a run inside. Seeking a change of pace and some variety, our tuna desires are completely sated, we took full advantage of the current good weather and skedaddled across the expansive open stretch grinning like theives in the night. We'll pay for it later no doubt, one can only get a leg up on Mother Nature for so long before she settle's the score, but the present is our's to relish. And we are. Along the coast tomorrow offers a shot at some kind of variety to add color and contrast to our fishing so far. It will take some leg work but time is on our side. Regardless of the catching we are good. Anything in the way of quantity is pure bonus, and far from needed. Photo of the day features Royal Star angler Steve Cameron with a nice, 75 pound class mid morning yellowfin.
