Cisco's SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY

7-24-2016
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Sunday saw great fishing with lots of Yellowtail, Calico Bass and other surface fish being caught. Big fish of the day was a 45lb White Seabass caught on one of our full day trips. A private boater also brought a 49lb White Seabass to our official I.G.F.A weigh station. Reportedly, both of these big Seabass were caught at the same location this morning. This is a good sign and hopefully a preview of things to come. We sure ended the week on a high note with great weather and even better fishing. Solid surface bite at the inner islands and a good day of bottom fishing at the outer islands. One can only hope this will continue well into the coming weeks! Today’s Fish Count: 10 boats and 272 anglers caught 1,252 Assorted Rockfish, 52 Lingcod, 7 Sheephead, 1 Sole, 153 Ocean Whitefish, 5 Sculpin, 1 Smoothhound Shark, 100 Perch, 1 Halibut, 1 White Seabass, 44 Barracuda, 177 Calico Bass, 96 Bonito and 127 Yellowtail.
