Departure on schedule, a perfect load of sardines, and perfect weather – an ideal combination for success as we begin this open 4 day run primed for fishing and good times to come. An abundance of time motivated a short run to the west once again in search of the elusive local bluefin tuna. And once again we came, we saw, we caught none. Boy those devils are really something. On such occasions I regularly offer the obvious observation about these fish being why purse seine nets were invented. One can only look at boomer schools of bluefin, one after another for miles and miles and catch absolutely nothing, for so long before abandoning any and every sympathetic thought toward them. It was bonus time for us however so we took the affront in stride heading south toward our first full day of fishing unfazed by today's non results. The weather was fine and this group of seasoned anglers made a good time of the afternoon and evening settling in and getting to know one another. Offshore is on the docket tomorrow with room to shift our strategy if need be. Both Captain Toussaint and I are in the hot seat this voyage so look for results to reflect our best combined effort. Here it goes.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
