Royal Polaris Fishing Report

7-6-2016
Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone; Weather continues to be nice, with 10 to 12 knots of breeze, clear skies, and sunny. We did get the night bite we were hoping for, we did get a few Yellowtail in the dark. Once the sun came up, we pulled the anchor and started tolling. It didn’t take long for our group to get its first Wahoo. It wasn’t much action fishing Wahoo, with most of our passengers still in pain from yesterday’s catching.

The Wahoo were in the 25 to 30 pound range, and we did get our daily limits of Yellowtail again, but it was not as easy as it was the first day. Most of the Yellowtail were in the 18 to 25 pound range, with a couple going over 30 pounds. At 17:00 hours, we pulled our anchor and we are now headed to Cedros island.

We will arrive to Cedros tomorrow around 13:30 hours, that’s if we don’t find anything on the way up. We will be looking for Calico Bass, Yellowtail, and may-be some Halibut fishing. So until tomorrow, wish us luck, team R/p.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.

After breakfast, Jonathan gave a seminar on the how’s, what’s and could happen. Once he was done, the crew went to work getting everyone ready for battle. We made a few stops, one at San Benitos, and another at Cedros. All we could muster or our efforts was one lone Whitefish. So...... Read More
