Long ride

It's been an uneventful albeit plenty decent ride up the line. A long trek to be sure, and extremely light on activity and/or excitement, this ride has been a cookie cutter version of the ride north from Los Cabos. Seriously boring best describes the run up – no fishing, no stopping, straight travel. Notions of glory and glamor quickly fade when Cabo Falso is rounded and the throttles are set. And where they are set, aside from the often encountered stiff wind and large seas requiring velocity reduction, there they remain. This is an unabashed advertisement encouraging anglers on voyage's offering the fly home option to take full advantage of the fast track. An extra day or two in Cabo sipping Margarita's, some extremely valuable time to wind down following a long stretch at sea, then a quick, two hour jump up the Baja peninsula versus 76 – 78 hours of straight travel makes perfect sense; after all that is why the fly home option is offered. Take it from an Old Salt guys and gals, when it comes to this advice my motive is positively in your favor and 100% genuine. And if anyone does question this well formed opinion I strongly encourage them to join us on board for the ride home; the boat is going anyway, it's no change for us. Just be sure to include a crash helmet and flak jacket in the items you pack; odds are one will need them. Aside from that we are track for a 10:30 am arrival at Fisherman's Landing Saturday morning. Following this voyage we will be shore side until Friday tending to a few small maintenance projects before firing up the rig and heading back at it on our annual, Memorial Day weekend three day adventure. Soon following that Mini long range voyage a quick 1 ½ day trip and the season begins. Look for daily reports to re-commence Next week then continue uninterrupted for the remainder of the summer. A final closing word of thanks to Charter Master extraordinaire Chris Yamada and the entire group of anglers who joined us on this successful 2016 giant yellowfin season finale. Sharing time and experiences at sea with this exceptional group of anglers has been our sincere pleasure. Thank you again!!
