Trout Fishing

This week it looks like Catfish were the main attraction hitting on a trout set up out near the Dam area. Trout were also being caught in Graveyard cove, the oaks, and the rock wall. “HOT TIP” Crappie continue to bite at the main rec.

Lake Conditions

Lake Level: 304.52

Surface Temp: 67

Fish Plant: 1,400 lbs of Mt Lassen Trout at the Marina on Monday 5/25/16. 1,000 lbs of DFW on Wednesday 4-27-15 at the Boat Launch.

Fish Tales

Antonio Alvarado and Friends no city given caught 3 catfish the largest weighing 8.3 lbs in the Honey Hole (I don’t know where that is) using Mice Tails on 4/24/16.

Roger Davis of Pinole caught 5 trout at the oaks on 4/25/16 using Garlic Power-bait (Camera Shy No Picture)

Jim Edmonson and Friends of Newark caught 11 trout the weight of the stringer was 29LBS using power-bait on 4-26-16 (Camera Shy No Picture)

Alex Filous of Millbrae caught a catfish and a trout the catfish weighing 8.04 lbs using a power-bait worm combo on 4/27/16.

Mark Lee and Family of San Francisco caught 5 trout the weight of the largest 9.9lbs using power-bait in graveyard cove on 4/30/16.

Park Information

The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during May being 6:00 am to 7:30 pm and boats needing to be off the water by 6:00 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Café is open the hours are 9:00 to 3:00 closed on Mondays.
