Hello everyone; We arrived to Hurricane Bank around 08:00 hours, started trolling, and it took some time to find the Wahoo, but once we found them, it was game on. We trolled around for Wahoo for about 4 hours, then we made a couple of drifts.
We did have a good day on the Yellowfin as well, with two sizes of fish, one was 50 to 80 pound range, the other was 140 to 180 pound category.
Largest Yellowfin today was caught by Mike Townes, from Sacramento. Mike fish weighed in at 186 pounds, which he caught it on the kite, with a double trouble rig.
The sharks were in full force today, eating a couple of Yellowfin, and a handful of Wahoo. So even though fishing was great, it was tough getting them to the boat, whole.
We made a tank of flying fish tonight, and a dozen puffer fish, that will be our kite baits tomorrow, and hopefully the sharks will leave us alone. So when fingers and key board meet again, with us luck.
Team R/p.
