TROUT BITE
Early morning hours were the most productive times for anglers. As temperatures rose over the week, trout moved to deeper waters. For shoreline fishing, the T-dock, Cactus Patch, and the campground shoreline is your best bet this week. Trout were biting on Powerbait and atomic teasers— not night crawlers, as noted by many fishermen.
FISHING FOR BASS
Shiners and Pearl white brush hogs were the best bait to catch bass this weekend. The hot spots were the Tdock and the campground shoreline.
CATFISH & PANFISH
The catfish stocking schedule (11,000 lbs. stocked a year!) will be out soon. Bluegill were caught this week from the t-dock with night crawlers.
NATURE
The Barn owls had babies! Footage from Billy Ortiz captured the owlets in their nest. To see for yourself, visit our Facebook page!
CATCHES OF THE WEEK
Jim Lepisto and his friend both caught their limit along the Hermit Cove buoy line early on Friday morning. Their largest hit was 6.5 lbs. with Chartreuse Powerbait. Darrell Stewert reeled in 3 Sierra Bows off the Tdock with Rainbow Powerbait. His largest trout weighed 4 3/4 lbs.
