TROUT BITE

Have you seen the big news on our Facebook page? A new trout record was set on Saturday! David Corrales caught a 17.0 lbs. trout breaking our old trout record! He caught this trophy in Siesta Cove with a mini jig. Although the rain turned many anglers away, those who figured out mini jigs were the best tackle pulled limits and big trout out of the lake. Garlic-scented PowerBait and inflated night crawlers did hook some trout as well.

FISHING FOR BASS

Anglers are catching bass of all sizes from the campground shoreline during the week. Also, try Hermit Cove as 5 lb.+ bass was hooked using a Roboworm on Friday morning and released.

CATFISH & PANFISH

No catfish were reported being caught this week. Catfish stocking schedule for summer will be coming out soon!

CATCHES OF THE WEEK

Paul Rusu got his limit within 45 minutes early on Saturday morning! He was fishing by boat near the Hermit Cove Buoy line. There’s even a lightning in the bunch! The big catch of the week! David Coralles reeled in this 17.0 lbs. trout, which is now largest recorded trout caught at Lake Jennings! He was using a mini jig and fishing in Siesta Cove. He also pulled a 10.5 lbs. trout from the same spot later inthe day! This impressive 12 lbs.Sierra Bow was caught by Solomon Sorn on Saturday! He was fishing off of Siesta Point wit a brown mini jig.
