Royal Polaris Fishing Report

Royal Polaris Crew

Hello RP Followers,

Our peaceful night of sleep switched into what felt like an uphill rolling and pounding journey. I thought it was Jonathon messing with Cotter and me because our rooms are in the bow. Actually, we had in fact turned uphill about midnight heading back toward Cedros Island. I came into the galley early and found out that our Chartermaster Bill “I Really Gotta Go” Nakaki was having a medical issue. No one could tell but Bill was in tremendous pain and was having trouble going #1. I offered to assist by turning some chafing tube into a make shift catheter and Bill was very tempted as fishing truly is that important. However, it seems the thought of trailing chafing tube for 2 weeks was too much and he opted to get licensed medical attention on land. We dropped him off with the Mexican Navy and Bill went to Cedros, saw a local doctor and let loose 1.99 liters (sorry Bill, Roy says that doesn’t count as a 2). We were very somber until hearing Bill had successfully pee’d. High fives, cheers and chest bumps were exchanged all around, way to go Bill! We are happy to say that Bill feels way better and is on his way to the Bay area. We will miss you on the trip, but will be tagging fish #1 throughout the trip for you. Get better soon, we hope to see you at the dock!

We spent the rest of the day getting top shots and leaders ready. Dinner was an insane seared fresh Bluefin on mashed potatoes and asparagus. We also had a birthday to celebrate, Johnny Yamate celebrated his birthday. He doesn’t look a day over 59 (that is until tomorrow)!

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
