Calm seas north

A fine day traveling north – calm winds, easy seas, good running conditions. Somewhat of a rarity in these parts during this season (Winter) we accept the favor with gratitude knowing that the alternative is a lot less fun. Though slotted as a day at rest following nigh seven days straight of high impact fishing all elected to take advantage of the excellent working conditions cleaning and stowing gear in preparation for arrival Sunday morning. After those tasks were completed an afternoon of pure leisure ushered in an evening passed in appreciative reverie. Two more days of chugging north, at least one more of which is forecast to pass in flat calm weather, promise an abundance more of relaxation before these triumphant anglers re-enter the real world of hustle and competition. Photo's today feature long range veteran's Jay Maeda and Norm Nagaishi in the victorious afterglow of success with their 202 and 218 pound yellowfin tuna's.
