Hey folks-
After spending the morning doing our final rigging and preparation we arrived at our destination about 1330. At first we didn’t see much fish, a couple here and a couple there which didn’t react at all. Working our way down we stumbled into a scattered area of what looked like better fish and hit the anchor down. It only took about 5 min to hook our first fish then it got pretty steady. Thank goodness we had everyone rigged up with heavy line because these were all brutes! After the dust settled we had 35 fish of which at least 12 were over 100# and the big fish taping out at 140! To go with our tuna we had a nice collection of 18-35# yellowtail. A great first day and we can’t wait to get going again in the morning. Wish us luck!
