Back to basics today; an opportunity to practice the art of fishing for a bite rather than simply casting a bait and setting the hook. In sloppy conditions, gone are the days of grease calm on this run, we found a little something to work on, hunkered down, and settled in to slow scratching all day long. And following yesterday's scouting mission that felt like the boat never stopped a full day of the opposite was just what the doctor ordered.
Enough fine quality yellowfin tuna now reside in the RSW tanks to check them off the list for the remainder of the voyage, done. Now a new hunt begins. A blustery forecast suggests a day on the inside in search of variety and fairer conditions. This is a vacation; no one here is looking to spill any drinks unless we have to. This of course is an easy perspective to promote when we are fish rich and satisfied. Taking full advantage of such we'll let the outside settle down before venturing forth on our final day.
Photos today feature a couple of individuals synonomous with superior fishing products. Don and Tracy Kuroye of Blackwater join us this voyage on a research and development mission that includes Blackwater fluorocarbon for everyone on board to use. In addition to being stellar individuals that are a genuine pleasure for all to meet and share the rail with Don and Tracy are both superb anglers. I am always glad to see those in the fishing tackle industry demonstrate that the knowledge they promote is gained first hand. The Blackwater products speak for themselves; this voyage is a perfect example. What I can best say about Blackwater products is that on Royal Star we have absolute, 100% confidence in the quality and performance of everything under this brand. Blackwater is the mark of superiority. So many incredible catches and almost unbelievable stories attest to this that I can't begin to list them in this narrative. No need however – results speak for themselves.
