9/15/15 A few fish early and we set out full of optimism and bravado confident that the splendid conditions and fishing would extend well beyond this zone. The exact opposite proved to be true; today at least. For certain water conditions were superb, the stage is set for any and everything to continue to pour in, but zero flow anywhere we ventured, absolutely slack, made for tough prospecting. At the very least the scenery was epic; the atmospheric clarity was so crisp it was almost surreal; land masses twenty miles distant appeared as if they were right next door. And the opportunity to recover from yesterday's entire day of yankin' and crankin' during what turned out to be a scenic tour was gladly received by all. Lounging and hydrating were the prevalent activities between fishing attempts that were few and far between. So fishing goes. At the very least the contrast between good and the opposite is now obvious. And we've had enough of the latter. Back to the promised land we hope that the few we left on the table are still available tomorrow. Plenty of time remains, spirits are high, and our bait supply is good. Photos today feature Charter Master Rob Duby and Hazi Jainoor both stoked with their first wahoo of the morning.
