9/13/15 Not that we didn't or couldn't see it before, all the harbingers of a real deal “El Nino” were present long before this voyage, but what is happening now represents the 2015 event in full swing. Wahoo and beautiful grade dorado on kelps across a very broad zone – say around three or four hundred miles – are certainly the most obvious representatives, but many other tropical varities such as whale sharks and manta rays, way north of their traditional haunts, are making the obvious that much more so. And the way it appears things right now are just really getting rolling. If I were an angler on upcoming voyages, and that goes for voyages all the way through October, November, and December, I'd be feeling pretty good about it. Anything from an abbreviated run through a longer trip has real deal long range potential, as good as any I have ever seen. Check our schedule for the few openings still available. Now is the time. This day produced half a dozen nice wahoo, some good yellowtail action along the coast, and a few handfuls of “Ballslapper” grade dorado – all within 2 and 3 day range of home; and we barely scratched the surface when it came to potential. Time in the day, actual daylight hours, was the only limiting factor. Fortunately in this case time is strong in our favor; so is the weather. Sliding down tomorrow we'll again be prospecting licking our chops in anticipation of what, at any minute, we may find. Photo today features Royal Star veteran Dave Bales with a wahoo scored near a kelp we encountered well offshore.

9/12/15 Off to a great start here; I'm admittedly envious though of the catch that Captain, “Always Get's 'em”, Toussaint and the boys just unloaded from the prior three day voyage sponsored by “The Bight”. Beautiful grade yellowfin tuna and yellowtail from the offshore grounds filled limits for quite a few anglers and came out of the RSW tanks in the most perfect conditions imaginable. Combined with grease calm weather the boys really came off the last run looking like champions. On...... Read More

We enjoyed a stellar day of angling in grease calm weather here on the outer banks to finish the trip. The bulk of what we landed were 20 to 35lb yft with a nice mix of yellows. Tim will be departing on a 7 day tomorrow. ...... Read More
