The fish just keep on biting and biting for the anglers fishing from Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico. It's the time of year when the billfish want to be cooperative and provide an excellent opportunity to fill one of the items on an angler's "bucket list". This past week was another very good fishing week for the anglers and reflected 1 blue marlin, 7 white marlin, 8 sailfish, 72 dorado, 10 giant barracuda, 62 bonito, 5 wahoo, 1 blackfin tuna, 3 grouper, 9 banana fish, 19 triggerfish, 22 chac-chi and 20 snappers for the fleet's 69 days fished. The mixed bag catch reflected 13 different species for the fleet and anglers. Our local, on-the-spot reporter, Ms. Jessica Ortega, said the fishing and the weather has been very good and the anglers are returning happy.

PM Climate: Air temps ranged from 74 nights to 87 daytime highs and a 74% humidity ratio. It was partly cloudy during the early part of the week and changing to lots of sunshine on Friday and Saturday, then back to a mostly cloudy day for Sunday. However, looks like all good fishing weather for Puerto Morelos.

Sea Conditions: Sea temps stable and holding at 83-84 degrees throughout the area. Tropical surface breezes flowing from the easterly directions and ranging from very light to 12 mph.

Best Bait: The always available ballyhoo baits continue to be provided for all the sportfishers on a daily basis.

Bait Supply: Continues to be the bait of choice for anglers and crews and provided as part of the charter packages.
