Not the beginning that we were dreaming of, quite the opposite in fact, as the illustrious hallowed grounds were stingy at best with the potential bounty. We just didn't see it overall. Yes a few were landed, and a few jumped around, but the bulk of what has been in the vicinity was off touring the deeps leaving us scraps to grovel over. God I love fishing! The challenge of contending with less than favorable conditions and options is a perpetual affront that exposes our true position in the food chain. High, mighty, and haughty have no place in this reality, not for one minute.

So ahead we forge gravely concerned but well prepared. If they do show up hungry we have every tool in the book to make them pay. And pay they will, dearly. Anyone following the narrative this season may have noticed that overall nothing has come easy. There has definitely been some good fishing, and all of our voyages have returned with enough product in the hatch to deem the efforts successful, but none of what made it on board did so without a fight. Admittedly we are beyond ready to settle a score. As things are presently unfolding our sense of humor is yielding to a yearning for vengeance; a reckoning truth be told.

A couple of handfuls made it into the hatch today the biggest of which topped the scales at 170. A few more pushed over the 100# mark to at least whet the appetite of one and all for more. We know the quarry and the challenge. Now to make it happen in time.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
