Summer time fish counts and summer time weather

Mark Larson

The Tribute has called in with 8 bluefin(12-25lbs) tuna and 79 yellowtail(12-18lbs) for his morning with lots of daylight left to get the job done. The bluefin are being caught on light line and the yellowtail are being caught on anything you want to throw at them. Captain Jake Hensley said he has seen more fish this trip then he has all winter.

The San Diego is on fire with his yellowtail counts. The best method for getting a bite is the yo yo jig on 40-50lb line but also a few on the dropper loop and surface jig.

The New Seaforths half day trips have had excellent counts on the rockfish, lingcod and other tasty bottom dwellers.
