11/21/14

Today we prospected offshore looking for pelagics. We got off to a good start finding a wahoo and a 114# tuna. Another hour in that area with no other sign and we were back to prospecting. In the afternoon we found a very promising area with a lot of life. Birds, whales, porpoise, bait and game fish were all present. We worked spot after spot of large tuna and dorado to no avail. I don't know when these tuna are going to start biting, but when they do I want to be there. The potential for outstanding fishing is here.

Jim Robart gets the honors today with his 114# yellowfin caught on Shimano gear and a Braid Marauder.
