10/27/14 A picture perfect ending. The grumpy weather rapidly subsided leaving behind a big, rolling, mixed ground and wind swell that served to emphasize the good fortune of what became zero wind by noon. Though it wasn't an early slam dunk like yesterday (for us it rarely is) we put in the time, ground out the miles, passed many an unproductive kelp, then finally, through the old collective network of valued friends, got dialed into the goods. 10/26/14 Much to be thankful for today; the right place at the right time being foremost. Steadily increasing wind and seas made the salient lee of Isla San Martin mighty useful, but not before we compiled an excellent morning score on 12 - 22 pound yellowtail.
