We took a reprieve from the offshore quest this morning by working up the beach catching a variety of rockfish. Aside from one yellowtail we had no sign of gamefish which is not surprising considering the cold water conditions. We had our fill of this and headed back out on a shred of information which turned out to be a very impressive area of 20 to 30lb bft. The weather was rugged hampering our efforts but we were able to land 25 bft and 15 yft out of a couple schools. In good weather this area will produce good catches.
We are moving up tonight and will finish on the beach to get out of the weather.

06/11/14 Everything came together for us here in the offshore grounds except for one key component, fish that want to bite. We looked at an incredible amount of bft hitting schools of 50 to 75lbers throughout the day with some spots providing a few opportunities. We ended up with 13 of these trophies and are spending the night hoping they act better tomorrow. Jack Middleton is in today's shot with a 75 pounder. Randy Photo Here...
