The stars aligned for us today with the combination of grease calm weather and stellar big tuna angling. The bite started in the grey and continued throughout the entire day with shots at cows every couple hours. We ended up hooking 12 over 200 and managed to land 7 from 210 to 270. We also kept another 20 fish from 90-195 while releasing 25 others up to 110lbs.
Very impressive visual displays when spots of 100 to 200lbers would come up blowing out within a boat length 360 around us.
We have 2 1/2 more days so the cutoff will be raised to 150lbs tomorrow.
Crewmember Blake Wasano gives Kohei Kikuchi a hand with a 253 in today-s shot.
