Today we got an early start to our after Christmas 12 day trip. With a full load of cured sardines and flat calm weather we are making our way towards warmer climes and hopefully fun fishing. We have a great group onboard who took full advantage of the free time and unwound after their holiday festivities. More miles of travel are in our future. I will report accordingly.

12-22-201312/21/13 The passage northwest continues in fine weather maintaining a 0800, on schedule arrival on Monday the 23rd. A couple of photos to share today featuring one of the many inexplicable phenomenas that we occasionally enjoy. Pelagic schooling sharks - mainly "silky sharks" - are ever present in the areas we fish during the winter/spring months at times shattering all hopes of making a catch by asserting their dominance through sheer numbers. 12/19/13 A smooth transition in Los Cabos as rejuvenated anglers departed for the express ride and Royal Star began the final, three day travel leg of the voyage. Slated for a 0800 arrival on Monday, December 23rd we do not expect delays as good weather and no other obstacles appear in the forecast. The boys have more than a little time to tend to odds and ends preparing our beloved Royal Star for the next twelve day run departing on December...... Read More
