Of note today is the catch just unloaded that rivaled any I have seen in my ever expanding long range fishing career. For the
big three one could not achieve a more satisfying result. And the quality of the end product was signature Royal Star. Every
fish that came out of the hatch was premium quality, RSW stored at thirty degrees Fahrenheit, ready for immediate processing.

Captain Sims and the boys did a fantastic job of making good on opportunities that resulted from a solid strategy employed
from beginning to end. The biggest winners of all were wearing huge grins exuding that satisfaction so distinct to successful
fishing voyages. Every angler on the arriving 10 day Mitch Otera charter heads home with cherished memories and a bounty of
beautiful product harvested from a generous sea. This is what long range fishing is about when anglers venture forth with top
tier operations - consistently.

Now it is on us to make a trend of the good fortune realized during the last round. Easier said than done of course but we
are well prepared and positioned on this annual Shimano sponsored 11 day voyage. Between an arsenal of equipment unmatched in
breadth and capabilities, an epic group of anglers calling from Florida to Alaska, a perfect load of sardines and mackerel
courtesy of Everingham Bros. Bait Co., and a fine weather forecast we make our way for points south optimistic that timing
will favor our efforts.

We spent a leisurely morning breaking down our tackle and getting the boat all cleaned. Then it was time to relax and reminisce. The stories of the ones we captured and the ones that got away flowed all afternoon along with a few adult beverages. We have one more travel day...... Read More
