We enjoyed a great day of long range fishing today. We had beautiful weather and
biting tuna mostly between 50 and 75 pounds. We started early with a ripper in
the dark that lasted until just after daylight and accounted for fully half of
our total catch today. We scratched through the rest of the day and finished
with a classic sundowner. We will be staying for one more day in this area.

Our picture today is of Denis Dowden with one of his Quality tuna today.

On a side note, this time slot will be wide open for next year. The Otera Group
will be going back to a summer trip. If you have ever wanted to fish a prime
time fall trip on Royal Star give us a call in the office. Whether you are a
single or an entire charter group, we would love to hear from you.

Today I was more focused on landing these tuna than taking pictures. The action when it came...... Read More

With short lived frenzies and then a slow scratch we managed a decent score on dorado and just a couple of wahoo. We could still use a little more quantity of both and be within limits. We shall see what tomorrow brings. Dave Kerr and Greg Poldy show a couple...... Read More
