We opted to make the long haul to the lower bft zone to start our three day
today. By early afternoon it was looking like a classic example of should have
been here yesterday as we were driving around at 1600 with 1 bft and 30
unfortunate yellows in the hatch. It was looking grim but our persistence paid
off when shortly after 4:00 we got on a school that stuck with us until dark
producing 65 bft, most of which were 30=40lbs with a few 60-70lbers mixed in.
Typical bft, maybe we were just off them by a little bit or they just came up
late today, regardless we'll take it.
We are moving up tonight to give us another full day of angling tomorrow.

Because there is such a thing as enough. The perfect amount of product is how I would deem these results; perfect in quantity, quality, and variety. In no way could one hope for a better summer eight day voyage. Perfect weather, a variety list that includes wahoo, yellowfin tuna, dorado,...... Read More

07/05/13 An appropriate description of this fishing day is a tall order. To capture every aspect, to frame in complete context, would take longer than most readers will allow me their attention. A day to remember to be sure; one that contrasts this spectacular fishery in irrefutable proportion. Today's fishing was a walk down memory lane taking us back to the mid nineties when offshore fishing for 50 - 70# bluefin surpassed our wildest dreams. With those experiences still fresh in......
