We opted to make the long haul to the lower bft zone to start our three day
today. By early afternoon it was looking like a classic example of should have
been here yesterday as we were driving around at 1600 with 1 bft and 30
unfortunate yellows in the hatch. It was looking grim but our persistence paid
off when shortly after 4:00 we got on a school that stuck with us until dark
producing 65 bft, most of which were 30=40lbs with a few 60-70lbers mixed in.
Typical bft, maybe we were just off them by a little bit or they just came up
late today, regardless we'll take it.
We are moving up tonight to give us another full day of angling tomorrow.

A day to remember to be sure; one that contrasts this spectacular fishery in irrefutable proportion. Today's fishing was a walk down memory lane taking us back to the mid nineties when offshore fishing for 50 - 70# bluefin surpassed our wildest dreams. With those experiences still fresh in......
