Today we enjoyed flat calm weather and scratched together a day on 18-40#
yellowtail. We also kept a few calico bass for one of Chef Jeff's killer
lunches. The exotic of the day went to Jonny Harrington who bagged a 23# halibut.

Today's Shot features Julius Lallave with a brute of a yellow.

6/18/13 Today the weather picked up a bit on the offshore grounds, but it didn't deter the Bluefin tuna from biting even better today than yesterday. We caught them on both bait and jigs, with a flylined sardine on 40 # fluorocarbon the rig of choice. The fish again ranged from 25 to 65# with a good percentage from 40 to 50. 6/17/13 We had a great start to our trip today as the Bluefin tuna cooperated and came aboard all afternoon. The stop started with about twenty very quickly then settled into a classic plunker with one or two going. The fish ranged from 25 to 65 pounds.
