On the heels of another traditional Captain Toussaint, slay everything in the ocean, load 'em up style bluefin and yellowfin
tuna catching bonanza, we venture out set up for events next to come. Departing on the second annual Ouano/Garcia seven day
run the mood is optimistic and festive - many a year of combined long range and general fishing experience sets this voyage
in class of it's own.

In standard bluefin form a ocean wide disappearing act, but for a few remnant pieces, is the hand we are dealt upon
departure. Although such reports hardly generate high fives and brimming optimism they have almost become standard this
season; and in most cases have zero bearing on results in days that follow. The present facts are still consistent with what
we have seen the duration of this season beginning in early June.

There are huge amounts of bluefin, in all size classes from 12 - 90 pounds, well within reach of the local and long range
fleet. There are plenty of good days on this offshore bluefin yet in store for anglers in upcoming weeks; probably through
the end of September from the way these fish appear intent on hanging around. But they are not going to come easy, or be
easily found. Timing is everything. Throw in a little good fortune and plenty of preparation and the foundation for success
is complete. All that is presently in our favor, I think. We'll see if the stars align in our favor at some point during the
next six days.

In closing today a few amid notes are worthy of mention. First the new 2014 - 2015 schedule is completed and now posted on
our site in the "News" section. Paper copies have been distributed on board over the past couple of months but a few changes
are now finalized. In reference to pricing we want to inform all anglers that we have based the new schedule on a realistic
fuel price of $4.00/gallon eliminating the need for fuel surcharging. We feel that fuel prices have settled into this range
and any expectations of costs significantly lower are unrealistic. As our fares have long included Mexican fishing permits
the 2014 - 2015 pricing returns us to an "all inclusive" standard that we prefer.

Last on the list I want to mention that we still have plenty of availability on the Baja Fish Gear and Larry Brown seven day
voyages at the end of September. With Saturday to Saturday departure and return days (Sept 21 - 28th and Sept 28 - Oct 5th)
these voyages are positioned ideally to take advantage of whatever is to come in the way of either offshore bluefin and
yellowfin tuna, yellowfin tuna, dorado, and wahoo down the line, or both. Prospects are solid and the timing of both these
voyages is perfectly matched to the season. If you are still waiting to make a trip Tracy will be in the office all week
happy to help convince you that the time is now.

8/25/13 Timing is what I mentioned yesterday, combined with at least a little fishing savvy the result today was another boomer hit on 40 - 50 pound class bluefin that precisely defined why we are here, and why such great lengths are well worth the effort. To call this fishing anything other than exceptional would be a disservice to the bluefin - they showed the kind of enthusiasm and dedication for coming on board that the most fortunate among us experience......
