Fish Report for 12-31-2012
We arrived at our fishing destination today and landed right on top of the life.
Small tuna, and wahoo occupied our morning. In the afternoon we located some
better grade tuna an enjoyed some clean fishing on 90 - 228 # fish. We mixed in
a few more wahoo for variety and before we knew it the sun went down. We have
high hopes for this fishing to continue.
Two pictures today. First is Trevor Sheets with his 1st 100# tuna. I'm not sure
who was more excited when this fish hit the deck, Trevor or his proud
grandfather Cal. Second is Rick Ings with the days best tuna which weighed in at
228#.

Forecasts predict the weather to come down before we reach our fishing destination. Most important is that our bait is taking the ride well. Until tomorrow... Brian ...... Read More

12/26/12 After a solid break for the holiday we are once again headed towards points south in search of giant yellowfin tuna and wahoo. We have a great group of seasoned regulars with just enough anglers new to Royal Star to create the right mix for tremendous camaraderie - signs of which were clear today as the group got to know one another. By dinner time the conversations and libations were flowing freely across the galley in an atmosphere dedicated to...... Read More
