Fish Report for 12-10-2012

No grand events to herald; just another smooth day of running, rigging, and relaxation in preparation for the big
event beginning tomorrow. The final toasts were made, the last minute, finishing touches were applied to equipment
following the evening reverie, then all retired to the below decks, air conditioned havens to await our morning
arrival.
Splendid conditions - just enough breeze to keep temperatures pleasant and the ocean tame - promise an agreeable
working platform tomorrow and beyond. Leap of faith, fishing brilliance, or otherwise our first destination will
tell tomorrow.

12-9-201212/8/12 Little in the way of action to report from here; a serene passage in rapidly diminishing wind and seas that became near topical and devilishly inviting by evening. Good times were in order and the already festive atmosphere shifted gears to meet the occasion with veteran appreciation. Tomorrow I gather the real rigging and serious preparation will commence as no one today was gripped by any sense of urgency. Time is on our side and the weather in our favor...... Read More

12/7/12 A smooth passage south thus far as the miles slide past measured in knots. Destination presently unknown as options are mulled and information processed - we have not ruled out or written off the "beach" this season at all. In fact I wouldn't be surprised in the least if a good showing on big fish occurs somewhere along that zone between now and January. It has happened before, and will happen again.
