Today we got in a lot of rail time as we stayed put on the anchor all day. The tuna showed better than they bit for the morning. When things got straightened out in the afternoon we managed to keep a couple hooked into the dark. A few nice yellows and dorado spiced things up. We are heading towards the inside for a change of pace and will be looking for some of the variety these trips provide.

Two shots today. First Royal Star veteran angler Dick Milanesa is all smiles with one of his yellowfin. Second, Mari Wynder traveled down from Oregon and captured this nice tuna.

We arrived at our chosen fishing grounds in the late morning. After a good look around we stopped the boat and scratched away at a very nice grade of yellowfin tuna. We traveled down today gathering information and making a decision on our first fishing destination. Our anglers prepared their gear and relaxed in the afternoon.
