Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Well we are on somewhat of a unique program this voyage as we head out with fifteen anglers on our annual "Pfishcadora" four day charter. As a group of friends, some of whom have fished together since I was a young child, I have unlimited respect for these incredible individuals. The drive to continue the tradition and fish with lifelong friends keeps them at the rail enjoying their time on Royal Star together. Of course we are highly focused on production, and always catch our share with these guys, but the numbers are much less relevant as a barometer of success when limited to a smaller, low key group. Quality time in good company enjoying the open ocean together while catching a few fish - okay, maybe more than a few. That is the goal that we are committed to make happen. It will.

We have opted to spend day one on the offshore grounds focused on bluefin, yellowfin, and albacore before considering other options. We have a beautiful weather forecast to work with, plenty of time, and plenty of assistance as the fleet is on them and working together to stay that way. Yesterday's fishing produced some great scores on better size bluefin and albacore so prospects are good. Daily reports with all the details will continue as we forge ahead with the plan.

In addition, the set up is following the script set forth back in July with all three species filling in on the local grounds and mixing to produce very good "mixed bag" action offshore. The best part of all is that the fish are well distributed spread out in small groups over a...... Read More

Following a productive morning that had us feeling we were all lined up and well on our way to the day we have been aiming for, along came one of those curve balls I was referencing a few days back. If you follow these reports on a regular basis you have likely determined the pattern of fishing that is, has been, and always will be what identifies the real fishermen, the high liners, from those who are ill equipped, less......
