Fish Report for 7-12-2009
We are out and southbound on our first annual Humboldt Fishin' Lumberjacks charter that we have been looking forward to running for many years. An incredible wealth of knowledge and experience is on board as this group of highly accomplished anglers and marine biologists are here to enjoy this time at sea in the sole pursuit of fishing and catching recreation among good friends. Prospects for such are good with many options to choose from heading out of the gates.
At the top of the order is some time on the offshore grounds that weren't off the charts in production today but still rich with prospects for both bluefin tuna and albacore. With good weather in the forecast, plenty of time, and a good group of us on the grounds tomorrow working together, we should know what to make of it by day's end. Beyond that we will play it by ear but several options are in the cards based on tomorrow's results. Everything we can muster is presently in perfect order so now we will see if the fish will come.
Look for reports to continue as the voyage unfolds. All's well on Royal Star and we are ready to maintain the roll that Captain Toussaint established during the previous two voyages.
