Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Well I don't have any miraculous events to report today as we worked our tails off to make a catch from various groups of wily tuna that showed only a slight interest in our offerings. Rest assured however we were not deterred and perseverance paid off in the end with another nice day on school size yellowfin tuna that was fortunately made in a zone sheltered from the weather. Yes, the flat calm weather we enjoyed for the past several days came to an end but the good news is that more primo conditions are in the near future providing the forecasters are correct. As reported however, the bumpy conditions had little effect on our day as our plan to work the lee side of the coast paid off with a nice day of fishing and nice weather to boot.

So the search continues as we relocate to a new zone tomorrow in search of offshore glory in the form of tuna, dorado, and Wahoo. We are ready for whatever we find and hope to continue the catching trend we have been enjoying thus far. Based on what I know, tomorrow will be the true test. Believe me, the guys and I are up for the challenge.

Trophy of the day went to Nigel Parker who landed a seventy two pounder on the Raider jig while another dozen fish weighed out from fifty to sixty three pounds! Combined with the remainder of the twenty five to forty pound beauties, we put together a very nice day that was complimented by flat...... Read More
