Fish Report for 5-16-2008
Maintaining his preferred low profile, Bruce Posthumous managed to avoid the camera this voyage as a direct subject. Perhaps I will draw upon our albums from previous Revillagigedo voyages as Bruce is a fixture on these voyages that feature catch and release. In this respect Bruce is way ahead of the curve practicing catch and release on giant yellowfin many years before the Revillagigedo tagging trips became a reality. As a fisherman with a keen awareness of the environment and resources around him, Bruce sets an example through both his fishing and character that is worthy of mention. Rest assured that Bruce, like so many other Revillagigedo tagging participants, has likely amassed a school of yellowfin tuna carrying tags in the Eastern Tropical Pacific to his sole credit during the past three years. Thanks for all the good times Bruce and although there is no picture of you posted with this report, you are not off the hook yet.

Of all the anglers who have made a Revillagigedo tagging voyage, Chris is the only individual to date that I worked to convince as I knew he...... Read More

Well I culled through all the fantastic photos to find only one featuring long time Royal Star veteran Murray Darch who shared stories of my youth while running Royal Star voyages fifteen years prior on the ride home. Murray is another one of those anglers who always wears a smile and takes the fishing, good or slow, in stride. In the case of this latest voyage, Murray was wrangling with some difficult luck as he missed on several opportunities at...... Read More
