Fish Report for 10-31-2007
Well, after an extended period of computer wrangling, I am ecstatic to report that we are finally back on line direct from Royal Star. We are presently making way south with plans to target variety gamefish at some time the day after tomorrow. I can report at present that we are loaded with a perfect selection of medium and big sardines all of which are in beautiful condition. Our weather upon departure is flat calm and our group is in high spirits.
That said I want to take a step back and again commend the anglers and crew on the prior voyage who put together a fantastic variety catch that was in premium conditions upon return on the 30th. What a beautiful load of fish that was all handled perfectly and unloaded in top quality, fresh condition. As we unloaded the fish from the tanks, most still possessed their vibrant colors and all maintained that firm integrity that is the true mark of well cared for product. I was actually a little envious of those taking that incredible product home to be enjoyed fresh with family and friends over the next few days. Again the real credit belongs to the Royal Star crew and acting Chief Engineer Captain Brian Sims whose tremedous effort and dedication to producing a premium quality product for our anglers is plainly obvious in the results.
Now we have our own work cut out for us as we head down the line in search of some good fortune of our own. Look for daily reports to continue as our voyage unfolds and we strive to make it happen.

10-28-2007Wow! What a finish. Capt. Toussaint timed it perfect, and of course made the right fishing decision, as the wahoo cooperated again on their final morning offshore. The guys found the right zone and ended up landing thirty nine of the speedsters before calling it a trip and heading up the line. So, with the fishing done we can put the lid on this voyage that as far as catching and weather is concerned is definitely the highlight of the...... Read More

Well if you were ready to write things off, think again. The boys had a very good day of steady action on wahoo along with a host of other dorado, yellowtail, and even a few tuna while working kelps in perfect conditions on their way up the line. Capt. Toussaint reported every kelp they found producing action and the "skinnies" in that robust forty to fifty pound class that is usually indicative of the main body of fish moving in....... Read More
