Royal Star Fish Report

12-6-2006
Royal Star

We continue our southerly trek in fine weather biding our time while awaiting radio reports from the big fish zone. By all accounts, yesterday's action down below was again exceptional with good catches of cows made by both boats in the region, including the season's first three hundred pounder. Despite less than favorable weather, the fish still made a decent showing, and at the very least, still showed significant interest in biting. Needless to say the excitement continues to mount as we are about twenty four hours from arrival in that zone. In the meantime we will be making a few fishing stops along the ridge today looking to break up the ride with some warm up action on smaller class fish. From there it will be one more night of traveling before we arrive in what we hope will be a productive area. Keep a close watch on the reports for details.

Finally, if you are considering the new eleven day voyage added to our schedule yesterday, don't vacillate too long. As the action on Giant Yellowfin promises to continue, availability on the new trip is set to become limited in short order. Check the "News" section on our website for details and give Tracy or Randy a call.
