Fish Report for 11-4-2006
A nice day on the skin offshore with a couple of afternoon kelps producing thirty five of the speedsters and a wealth of beautiful "ballslapper" grade dorado, most of which were released. Fortunately the weather forecast was on the money and the less than favorable sea conditions we were faced with at daylight eased off to calm, excellent working conditions by day's end. So the trek inside now continues as the search is on for quality tuna as we have had a couple of days in the wahoo arena. With good weather forecast through the next couple of days now is the time to put forth the effort and that is exactly our plan.

11-3-2006Other than reaching our tagging goals on small yellowfin tuna and skipjack for this area, I can not say that we accomplished much else aside from a couple of handfuls of nice wahoo. As far as bigger yellowfin are concerned we just didn't see the signs anywhere. What we did experience were a few shots at bigger fish on the kites, but all were consumed within minutes by the patrolling local menaces. As such we opted out after dark heading...... Read More
