Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Well, it has been a difficult process wrangling with the satellite connection that we thought we had fixed. As such trip reports have been non existent but I can report, after my conversations with Captain Brett Rouintree, they scratched out a trip on good quality yellowtail with a few Alijos yellowfin tuna mixed in the catch. The water temperature at Alijos was a frigid sixty three degrees and although there was good sign of yellowfin around, getting them to bite was another story. They also spent one full day scouting bluefin offshore but once again the fish they found, despite beautiful water conditions, were not interested in what they had to offer; not unusual for bluefin as we know so well. The guys will be returning to Fisherman?s Landing tomorrow with a respectable catch on board they definitely earned the hard way. Look for our daily reports to resume on the 19th, which is departure day on our upcoming twelve day fly down/fly back from Cabo San Lucas. Also, take a look on our website for a preview of the new ?long range code of ethics? we will all be following from this time forward
